Aims:
To provide the dental team with skills to develop their verbal and non-verbal communication skills, to be able to communicate with all patients in the most appropriate way.
Course Objectives:
Enhance the communication skills of the whole dental team
Discuss the difference between verbal and non-verbal communication styles, with examples
Use examples to demonstrate effective communication styles in different scenarios
Learning outcomes:
Following the Session, delegates will be able to:
Know how to recognise and respond to the different communication styles. • Understand the differences between verbal and non-verbal communications.
Know the wide range of communication skills required of dental professionals. • Have a clear understanding of how to communicate with deaf or hard of hearing patients.
Through achieving these outcomes, provide an improved level of service to their patients.
